Reference to any relevant attachments (earlier discharge summaries, research reports, environmental reports etc..) can be expressed by general practitioner or specialist and sent to the patient’s local DPS for review of rights. DPS will forward to Manifestsenteret a referral that is evaluated in relation to rights.
If the referral applies about a patient with previous history of violence, then it should be attached to an assessment of violence risk.
It is also desirable that an individual plan is attached to the referral.

Reference to any relevant attachments (earlier discharge summaries, research reports, environmental reports etc.) can be written by: doctor, DPS, NAV or Ruspoliklinikken and sent to the central assessment / coordination unit in each Helseforetak. The assessment / coordination unit sends a rated reference to Manifestsenteret.
If the referral applies about a patient with previous history of violence, then it should be attached to an assessment of violence risk.
It is also desirable that an individual plan is attached to the referral.
Patients from other health trusts
Reference to any relevant attachments (earlier discharge summaries, research reports, environmental reports etc.) can be written by: doctor, the specialist health service, NAV, social service, DPS or others and sent directly to Manifestsenteret, adressed to the intake team.
The referral requires an assessment of rights, as well as a payment guarantee from the patient’s Helseforetak.
If the referral applies about a patient with previous history of violence, then it should be attached to an assessment of violence risk. It is also desirable that an individual plan is attached to the referral.

Serving a penalty according to "Straffegjennomføringsloven §12"
Manifestsenteret is approved for treatment according to strgjfl. §12. This applies both to patients in mental health care and within TSB.
Application for atonement ref. Strgjfl. §12 assumes that decision from kriminalomsorgen exists.
